The direct route to a label map: classify a window centred on each position and give the label to the centre. Here an ImageNet classifier reads windows centred every 16 pixels, and its dog probability colours the map. Before pressing play: how many times will a pixel near the dog be read by the time the sweep ends? Then switch to one pass over the image: how many reads does it take there, and what has to change in the network to allow it?
